As the penultimate expression of the Nasty Gal brand to date, we lead all duties on designing, concepting and strategising Sophia Amoruso’s second book, Nasty Galaxy. The coffee table book represented the embodiment and collective spirit of the Nasty Gal brand, Amoruso’s own personal brand, and #girlbosses everywhere in a large, fun format.
We crafted the book’s overall concept and visual identity, and implementing our thinking into everything from layouts to the final design. We consulted on imagery and inspiration for still-life concepts to bring the Nasty Galaxy imagery to life, from cover to the very last page. Highly graphic and visual, filled with illustrations, photos and short essays, the work is part scrapbook and part inspo-journey, diving into Sophia’s philosophies on work, relationships, balance, friendships, and more.
