For the publication’s annual New York retail experience, Wired magazine came to us for an environmental design concept that helped to showcase the most innovative products and technologies of the past year.
Instead of creating an arbitrary concept, our teams further dimensionalised the magazine’s existing “Whatʼs Inside” monthly feature in physical form, architecting the space, designing custom furniture and fixtures and creating a design system that spoke to both the editorial and experiential inner-workings of the publication.
Along with interactive installations and screenings, we created a digital shopping platform that helped visitors to purchase any product featured within the space. A mixture of commissioned and selected work of photographers and artists were also displayed featuring old world technologies aesthetically exploded, complementing the store experience.
